Pakua for Beginners
If you have taken Tai Chi class before (Chinese Internal Arts – Tai Chi, Pakua, Hsing-Yi) and have a background training in Neijia, this class will be covering more in-depth movements with partners and learn the principles of yielding and projecting, sticking and listening. The basics of pushing hand exercises will be taught from the Yang and Chen styles of Taijiquan. Participants should already know a Form of Tai Chi to participate.

Intermediate Tai Chi
After students have learned the beginning Tai Chi material, they may progress to the intermediate Tai Chi class. The intermediate class builds on more movements and exercises from the beginning class. Participants will learn more postures, details, and principles of Tai Chi movements. It is strongly suggested that students enroll in both classes to keep training in the movements that were previously learned. As students learn more, they may progress to learning the complete Chen Style Tai Chi Long Form which is 74 Postures. However, for those just wanting to learn Tai Chi and practice to gain the many healthful benefits, the repetition of the beginning classes will be sufficient. Welcome to learning the Original Chen Style of Tai Chi!

Beginners Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a Chinese exercise that improves balance and increases circulation. Learn some history and basic principles of the training method of tai chi while practicing movements from the original Chen style of Tai Chi. Participants will practice warm-up exercises known as chi-gong, standing repeating movements (silk-reeling), and learn how to put them together for a short routine. Start learning the basics as a beginner and progress to higher levels of tai chi for even more fun! You do not need any experience.

55 minutes, Basic Training and warm-ups, plus instruction

Advanced Tai Chi
If you have taken Tai Chi class before (Chinese Internal Arts – Tai Chi, Pakua, Hsing-Yi) and have a background training in Neijia, this class will help you improve further. In the advanced class, we will be covering more in-depth movements with partners and learn the principles of yielding and projecting, sticking and listening. The basics of pushing hand exercises will be taught from the Yang and Chen styles of Taijiquan. Participants should already know a Form of Tai Chi to participate.
